Bleric, or Eric Matas, obviously likes writing and playing with words (like combining blog + Eric, which just so happens to be called a portmanteau, FYI).
Eric works in corporate training as an elearning specialist. He has taught writing in one form or another since 1998 after completing his master's in English. He writes for and edits several blogs and websites including eLearning Weekly.
Eric is half Irish, half geek, half teacher, and half super hero. So, he spends his days fighting software to create elearning that saves the world.
He also loves to procreate and just celebrated his fifth child's (Maxwell Eliot) first birthday. Max joined big sister, Brooklyn, big brother, Kyan, and the twin big brothers, Alex and Aiden. Eric can be found on Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed, LinkedIn, and at various locations in Minneapolis by playing FourSquare.
Eric lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Betsey, and their five children. Ever since their third kid turned out to be twins, they have been inundated with kids (kidundated) and you can read about that at http://www.kidundated.com.
Eric is a pseudo-academic and a pseudo-techy as well as an almost-genius and an almost-idiot. When not designing elearning, teaching writing, or writing blogs, he can be found (or not) playing hide-and-seek with the older kids or keeping the twins off tables and away from sharp objects.
